The one child of the family is a son. We have to find the probability that he has two sisters. We have the following mutually exclusive events : BGG,GBG,GGB.
`therefore` The required probability `=P(B)xxP(G)xxP(G)+P(G)xxP(B)+P(G)+P(G)xxP(G)xxP(B)`
`=1/2xx1/2xx1/2+1/2xx1/2xx1/2+1/2xx1/2xx1/2=3/8`
