Find the intervals where the following functions are (a) increasing and (b) decreasing. `y = sin x,in [0, 2 pi]`

`y = sin x, x in [0,2 pi]`
then `dy/dx` = cos x.
The function is increasing if
`dy/dx ge O i.e cos x ge O.
`rArr x in [0, pi/ 2] cup (3 pi/2 , 2 pi)`
As cos `x lt 0 for x in (pi/2,3 pi/2)
