PCR stands for polymerase chain reaction. Multiple copies of the gene or DNA of interest can be synthesised in vitro using the sets of chemically synthesised primers and DNA polymerase. DNA polymerase helps in extension of the primers. PCR consist of 3 steps
(1) Denaturation (2) Annealing (3) Extension.
