Carbon monoxide gas is more dangerous than carbon dioxide gas. Why?

Carbon monoxide has strong and reversible bimding with haemoglobin resulting in the formation of carboxy haemoglobin. This reduces the amount of haemoglobin available in blood for oxygen transport. This causes laboured respiration, muscles weakness and even death .
