Mendel crossed a homozygous pea plant producing round and yellow seeds with a homozygous pea plant producing wrinkled and green seeds.
In F1 generation all plants are heterozygous round and yellow seeded.
When F1 hybrid plants are allowed to self - pollinate, in F2 generation round yellow, round green, wrinkled yellow and wrinkeled green seeded plants are produced in the ratio of `9:3: 3:1`.

Round Yellow - 9
Round Green - 3
Wrinkled Yellow - 3
Wrinkled Green - 1
Phenotypic ratio is `9:3:3:1`
