Explanation

The alternate source of proteins for animal and human nutrition is single cell protein.
1) Microbes like spirulina produce protein, minerals, fats, carbohydrate and vitamin rich large food source.
2) 250 g of microorganisms like Methylophylus methylotrophus can produce 25 tonnes of protein because of its high rate of biomass production and growth.
3) Mushrooms are also acceptable source of food.
