a. Inbreeding depression : The phenomenon of continued inbreeding especially close inbreeding reduces fertility and productivity and can be considered as inbreeding depression.
b. Inter specific hybridisation : The cross between male and female animals of two different related species are mated to combine desirable features.
c. Biofortification : The process of breeding crops with the higher levels of vitamins and minerals or higher proteins and healthier fats for public health.
d. Micropropogation : The method of producing thousands of plants through tissue culture.
e. Somaclones : The plants grown from micropropogation which are genetically identical to the original plant from which they were grown.
