Find the equation of a line parallel to x-axis and passing through the origin

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
The direction cosines of the x-axis are 1, 0, 0. Therefore we any assume the direction ratios of the required line as 1, 0, 0. Since it passes through the origin, the required equation is `(x-0)/1 = (y-0)/0 = (z-0)/0`
