You are given circular discs of equal masses and thickness, but one is made of iron and the other of alminium. Which one will have large MI about the central axis?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The disc of aluminium will have larger surface area and hence larger distribution of particles than the disc of iron. Hence the disc of aluminium has larger MI.
