Explain why a piece of iron appears to be cooler than a piece of wood in winter.

Iron is a good conductor of heat while wood is a bad conductor if we touch a piece of iron and a piece of wood keep that a same temperature iron appears cooler to the hand cause it rapidly conducts more heat away from our body then the piece of wood.
