A horse trots uniformly along a a circular track of radius 27 m. The angle substended at the centre of the track by the arc passed over by the horse in 3 seconds is `70^(@)`. What distance will the horse pass over in `(1)/(2)` minute.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`r=27m, theta=70^@=(7pi)/18` radian
`:.s=rtheta=27xx(7pi)/18=33m` (approx)
`therefore` Diatance passed over by the horse in 1/2 minute
=`(33)/3xx30=330m` (approx)
