What is the least possible number which when divided by 24, 32 or 42 in each case it leaves the remainder 5?

Since we know that the LCM of 24 , 32 , and 42 is divisible by the given numbers . So the required number = (LCM of 24, 32 , 42) + ( 5 ) = 672 + 5 = 677
