What measure would you take to prevent water-borne diseases?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

To prevent water-borne diseases, water storage utensils should be cleaned and covered to avoid contamination by flies. Drinking water should be free from any disease-causing agent, therefore, it should be chlorinated or boiled and filtered. Water reservoirs should be disinfected regularly. Any human activity like bathing, washing and defecating should be prohibited near the water sources like hand pumps, wells and rivers.
