Paramagnetic substance : It is those substances which when placed in an external magnetic field, are feebly magnetised in the direction of magnetising field.
For example-aluminium, sodium, platinum, etc. Curie.s law : The susceptibility of a paramagnetic substance varies inversely with the absolute temperature of the substance.
`chi_(m)prop(1)/(T)`
This is known as Curie.s law.
(ii) Given : `mu_(r)=1.000022`
We know `mu_(r)=1+chi_(m)`
`1.000022=1+chi_(m)`
So, `chi_(m)=0.000022`
