(a) Absorption of carbohydrates : Carbohydrates are absorbed in the form of monosaccharides into blood capillaries of villi. Glucose and galactose is absorbed along with `Na^(+)` ions with the expenditure of energy. Fructose is absorbed by facilitated diffusion.
(b) Absorption of proteins : End product of protein digestion is amino acids. Amino acids are absorbed into blood capillaries of villi. They are absorbed along with the `Na^(+)` ions along with the wxpenditure of energy.
(c) Absorption of Fats : End products of fat digestion are diacylglycerol or monoacylglycerol or fatty acids and glycerol. In the lumen of small intestine, emulsified fat is surrounded by bile salts and form micelles.
