What are the structural and functional units of the brain ? How are the parts of these units arranged in A and C ?

Neuron is the structural and functional unit of the brain. In cerebrum, outer portion contains cell bodies of the neuron whereas inner portion contains axons of the neurons. Whereas in spinal cord, outer portion contains axons and inner portion contains cell bodies of neurons.
