Whether the pH of aqueous solution of ammonium chloride is more or less than 7?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Ammonium chloride is a salt of strong acid HCl and weak base `NH_4OH`. So its aqueous solution contains greater concentration of `H^+` than `OH^-`ion. So the pH its aqueous solution is less than 7.
