The total amount of oxygen which is used for the complete oxidation of both the biodegradable and nonbiodegradable pollutants present in water expressed in ppm is called the chemical oxygen demand (CCD).
Siltation is the process of mixing of soil particles with water creating turbidity for which free movement of aquatic organism is hindered resulting decrease in their production and growth.
