Density of a gas is found to be 5.46 g//...

Density of a gas is found to be 5.46 `g//dm^3` at `27^@C` at 2 bar pressure. What will be its density at STP ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given `d_1=5.46g//dm_3.T_1=273+27=300K,P_1=2` bar `d_2=?T_2=273 K,P_2=1` bar (at STP)
Using relation, `(d_1T_1)/P_1=(d_2T_2)/P_2`
`d_2=(5.46xx300)/(2xx273)=3g//dm^3`
