This is because table salt contains impurities like magnesium chloride and calcium chloride. These impurities are deliquescent in nature, thus when exposed to humid air, they absorb the moisture from air, become moist, lose their crystalline structure and finally dissolve in the absorbed water, forming saturated solution.
