Provide reason for each of the following: Discarding the law of triad.

Dobereiner.s triad was discarded because,
Dobereiner failed to arrange all elements known at that time in the form of triad. For e.g., In the triad of halogens, fluorine (19), chlorine ( 35.5) and bromine (80), it is observed that the mean of atomic masses of fluorine and bromine is (19 + 80)/2 = 49.5 not 35.5.
The law was unable to apply even within the same family.
