Explain how do bats locate the obstacles and prey in their way.

Bats locate the obstacles and prey in their path by producing and hearing the ultrasound. They emit an ultrasound which comes back to them after striking an obstacle. By hearing the reflected sound and from the time interval they can judge the direction and the position of the obstacle.
