(i) Define a neutral point.
(ii) In the diagram below AB is a magnet and CD is an iron bar.

Study the diagram and determine the polarities at the ends A,B and D.

(i) Neutral point. It is a point where the resultant magnetic field is zero.

Here A is neutral point.
(ii) The magnetic field lines are emerges from A end of the Magnet magnet. Hence A is the north pole. Magnetic field lines ends at B point of the magnet. Hence B is Iron bar the south pole.

A `to` North pole.
B `to` South pole.
North pole induces south pole at the near end of the iron bar. North pole will be induced at the far end of the iron bar
C `to` South pole
D `to` North pole
