Why is it necessary to compare gases at S.T.P.?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Volume of a gas is dependent on temperature and pressure. The change in pressure or temperature changes the volume of a gas. Hence, while expressing the specific volume of a gas, it is necessary to specify both its pressure and its temperature.
