Two tuning forks A and B, when vibrated simultaneously, produce 5 beats per second. The forks produce resonances respectively with 36 cm and 37 cm long air columns of a tube closed at one end. What are the frequencies of the tuning forks ?

Two tuning forks produce 4 beats per second. If the prong of one fork is made a little heavy , 2 beats are produced per second. If the prong is made still heavier, again 4 beats are produced per second . How is this possible ?

A vibrating tuning fork of frequency 260 Hz produces 4 beats per second with a tone emitted from a violin. If one of the prongs of the tuning fork is slightly rubbed, the number of beats produced per second increases . What is the frequency of the tone emitted from the violin ?
