Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Abscisic acid promotes reversal of `H^(+) hArr K^(+)` pump and increasing availability of `H^(+)` inside the guard cell cytoplasm. Loss of `K^(+)` decreases osmotic concentration of guard cells as compared to adjucent epidermal cells. Due to the exosmosis the turgidity of guard cells decreases and it closes the pore of stoma.
