The correct Answer is:
D

Lysosomes were discovered by Christian deDuve (1955) from rat liver. Matile (1964) discovered lysosomes in plants. Generally, lysosomes are `0.2-0.8 mu` in size, irregular membranous vesicles filled with hydrolytic enzymes. They are polymorphic About 40 enzymes (all hydrolytic) are present in lysosomes. These include proteases, nucleases, glycosidases, lipases, phospholipases, phosphatases and sulphatases.
