Explain the process mentioned in part (i).

Explanation

(i)The process shows gaseous exchange in root.
(ii) During the gaseous exchange, root takes up oxygen present in between the soil particles. These then diffuse into the root hair and go to other cells of the root. Carbon dioxide diffuses out of the root cell into the soil in the same way but in the reverse direction.
