Explanation

The cardiac cycle describes all the activities of the heart through one complete heartbeat, that is, through one contraction and relaxation of both the atria and ventricles while the cardiac is the amount of blood pumped by heart per minute. The heart pumps out 70 ml of blood during one heart beat and it beats about 72 times per minute . Therefore the cardiac output is about `70 xx 72 = 5040` ml
