(a) In young.s double slit experiment, using monochromatic light, fringes are obtained on a screen placed at some distance from the slits. If the screen is move by `5xx10^(-2)` m towards the slits, the change in the fringe width is `3xx10^(-5)` m. If the distance between the two slits is `10^(-3)` m, calculate wavelength of the light used.
(b) What is meant by .Chromatic aberration. ? A thin convex lens of focal length `30` cm and made of flint glass (dispersive power= `0.03`) is kept in contact with a thin cancave lens of focal length `20` cm and made of crown glass. Calculate the dispersive power of crown glass if the above said combination acts as an achromatic doublet.

In young's double slit experiment with monochromic light, fringes are obtained on a screen placed at some distance from the plane of slits. If the screen is moved by 5 cm towards the slits, then the change in fringe width is 30mum if the distance between the slits is 1mm, then calculate wavelength of the light used.

In YDSE with monochromatic light, fringes are obtained on the screen placed at some distance from the slits. If screen is moved by 5 xx 10^(–2)m towards the slits, fringe width changes by 3 xx 10^(-5) m . If separation between the slits is 10–3 m, if wavelength of light used is 1000 y Å, then y is : (Assume distance between the two slits is very small than the distance betwen the slits and screen)
