Knowing the properties of `H_(2)O and D_(2)O`, do you think that `D_(2)O` can be used for drinking purposes?

`D_(2)O` cannot be used for drinking purposes because it is poisonous in nature. It retards the growth of plants. Although it is a germicide and bactericide, yet it is useless for drinking purposes because water containing large quantities of heavy water acts as a poison.
