A triangle with vertices (4,0),(-1,-1),(3,5) show that triangle is isosceles and right angled.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let (4,0), B(-1,-1), C(3,5) be the given points.
`AB = sqrt(25+1) = sqrt26`
`BC = sqrt(16+36)=sqrt52`
CA =sqrt(1+25)=sqrt26`
Also `AB^2+CA^2=BC^2`
`therefore Delta` ABC is isosceles and right angled.
