The centroid of the triangle formed by t...

The centroid of the triangle formed by the points (1,a), (2,b) and `(c^2,-3)` by which condition the points lies on the x-axis

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Centroid of the given triangle is
((1+2+c^2)/3,(a+b-3)/3)`
This lies on x-axis
`therefore (a+b-3)/3 = 0`
`implies a+b=3`.
