Find the equation of the straight line w...

Find the equation of the straight line which is perpendicular to y=x and passes through (3,2).

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Any line `bot` x-y=0 is x+y+k=0
It its passes through (3,2) `therefore` 3+2+k=0
`therefore k=-5`
Hence required line x+y-5=0
i.e x+y=5
