Find the inclination of the straight lin...

Find the inclination of the straight line passing through the point (-3,6) and the midpoint of the line joining the point (4,-5) and (-2,9).

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Mid point (4,-5),(-2,9) is (1,2)
Slope of line joining (-3,6) and (1,2)
`implies (6-2)/(-3-1)=4/-4=-1`
`implies tan theta=-1 implies theta=(3pi)/4`
i.e reqd. inclination = `(3pi)/4`
