Reactant `(G)` is trans [with two different groups (`Et` and `Me`)] and mechanism of addition of `Br_2` or `Br_2//H_2 O` (`HOBr`, i.e., addition of `Br^(oplus)` and `overset (Ө) OH` is anti. Hence the products `H` and `I` would be racemic.
