Two billiard balls each of mass 0.05 kg ...

Two billiard balls each of mass 0.05 kg moving in opposite direction with speed ` 6 ms^(-1)` collide and rebound with the same speed . What is the impulse imparted in each ball due to the other ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Impulse = m(v-u)
= 0.05 (6-(-6))
= `0.05 xx 12`
= 0.60 kg m/s
Impulse on each bail = 0.6 kg m/s. Two impulses are in opposite direction.
