A thin rod AB of mass 2m and length l rests on a frictionless horizontal table. Two particles P and Q each of mass m are moving with velocities 2u and u towards the rod and strike the ends A and B respectively and stick to the rod. Just after the collision let `V_A` be the velocity of the end A and F be the force exerted by one half of the rod on the other half. Then

A

`V_A=(11u)/8`

B

`V_A=(5u)/8`

C

`F=(243)/(64) (mv^2)/l`

D

`(27)/(64) (m u^2)/l`
