If temperature of a good conductor increases, how does the relaxation time of electrons in the conductor change

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Relaxation time of electrons ina conductor decreases with increase in temperature.
`rho=m/(n e^2tau)thereforetau=m/(n e^2rho),rho` of a good conductor increases with increase in temperatures which lowers the relaxation time `tau`.
