Two 120 V light bulbs, one of 25 W and other of 200 W are connected in series. One bulb burnt out almost instantaneously. Which one was burnt and why?

Since `Pprop1/R` so bulb of lower wattage i.e. 25W will have resistance 8 times that of 200W. In series combination same current flows through both bulbs. More heat will be produced in 25W bulb so it will fuse.
