The electric current in a wire in the direction from B to A is increasing. What is the direction of induced current in the metallic loop kept above the wire?

Text Solution

When current increases from B to A, increasing magnetic field is produced which is directed perpendicular to the plane of the loop. Due to this, induced emf is produced which opposes the magnetic field produced due to the current flowing in the wire, Mawell.s cork screw rule tells that induced current will flow in anticlockwise direction in the loop.
