How many times do the hands of a clock coincide in a day?

Explanation

Every hour the minute and hour hands of the watch coincide once. This is apart from the following time : Between 11-1 the two hands coincide only once ie at 12:00. During all the remaining hours we see that both the hands coincide once. Thus in the remaining 10 hours we see both the hands coincide 11 times and so 22 times in 24 hours.
