An aeroplane flying horizontally at a height of 1.5 km above the ground is observed at a certain point on the earth to subtend an angle 60°. After 15 second its angle of elevation is observed to be 30°. Calculate the speed of aeroplane in Km/h.

A train covered a certain distance at a uniform speed. If the train would have been 10 km/h faster,it would have taken 2 hours less than the scheduled time. And if the train were slower by 10 km/h,it would have taken 3 hours more than the scheduled time.Find the distance covered by the train.

A train travels at a certain average speed for a distance of 63 km and then travels a distance of 72 km at an average speed of 6km/hour more than its original speed. lf it takes 3 hours to complete the total journey, what is its original average speed?

The maximum speed of a train is 90 km/h. It takes 10 hours to cover a distance of 500 km. Find the ratio of its average speed to maximum speed?

An aircraft executes a horizontal loop of radius 1.00 km with a steady speed of 900 km/h. Compare its centripetal acceleration with the acceleration due to gravity

What can you say about the motion of an object if its speed time graph is a straight line parallel to the time axis?

A jet airplane travelling at the speed of 500 km h-1 ejects its products of combustion at the speed of 1500 km h-1 relative to the jet plane. What is the speed of the latter with respect to an observer on ground?

A man walks on a straight road from his home to a market 2.5 km away with a speed of 5 km h ^-1 . Finding the market closed, he instantly turns and walks back home with a speed of 7.5 km h^-1 . What is the average speed of the man over the interval of time (i) 0 to 30 min, (ii) 0 to 50 min, (Hi) 0 to 40. min? [Note: You will appreciate from this exercise why . it is better to define average speed as total path length divided by time, and not as magnitude of average velocity. You would not like to tell the tired man on his return home that his average speed was zero!]

A bullet fired at an angle of 30^@ with the horizontal hits the ground 3.0 km away. By adjusting its angle of projection, can one hope to hit a target 5.0 km away? Assume the muzzle speed to the fixed, and neglect air resistance.

A plane is in level flight at constant speed and each of its two wings has an area of 25 m^2 . If the speed of the air is 180 km/h over the lower wing and 234 km/h over the upper wing surface, determine the plane’s mass. (Take air density to be 1 kg m^-3) .
