Why shouldn't we wait at the foothill while it is raining heavily?

Explanation

During cloudbusting , severe rainfall or floods there is possibility of landslides. The house located on hills may come down due to such changes. The excessive rainfall can create strong water currents which flow down from the heights to the lower areas. Therefore to save our lives, we should not wait at the foothills.
