Compare the motion do soldiers on parade and a girl coming down a slide.

The soldiers on a parade keep on moving in the same uniform motion in a straight line. There motion does not increase or decrease. The girl coming down a slide does not show uniform motion. Though her motion is in straight line. it keeps on increasing.
