(1) Tuberculosis is caused due to bacterial infection. (2) It is an air-borne infection and spreads through the spittle of T.B. patient. (3) When personal and public hygiene is not followed, this disease spreads very rapidly. (4) It is estimated that every two minutes, one patient dies of T.B. in India. Tuberculosis, therefore, is considered as the most communicable disease.
