Represent the following situation in the form of quadratic equations. A train covers a distance of 90 km at a uniform speed. Had the speed been 15 km//hr more it would have taken 30 minutes less for the journey. We need to find the original speed of the train.

A train travels a distance of 480 km at a uniform speed. If the speed had been 8km/h less, then it would have taken 3 hours more to cover the same distance. We need to find the speed of the train.

An express train takes 1 hour less than a passenger train to travel 132 km between Mysore and Bangalore (without taking into consideration the time they stop at intermediate stations). If the average speed of the express train is 11 km/hr more then that of the passenger train, find the average speed of the two trains.

Formulate the following problems as a pair of equations and then find their solutions. Karthik travels 500 km to his home partly by train and partly by car. He takes 10 hours if he travels 320 km train and rest by car. He taken 1 hour and 40 mts more if he travels 240 km by train and rest by car. Find the speed of the train and the car.

A man travels 370 km partly by train and partly by car. If he covers 250 km by train and the rest by car, it takes him 4 hours. But if he travels 130 km by train and the rest by car, it takes 18 minutes more. Find the speed of the train and that of the car.

A loaded truck travels 14 km in 25 minutes. If the speed remains the same, how far can it travel in 5 hours?

A bus travelled 300 km in (7)1/2 hours with uniform speed find how many km it travelled in 1 hour?
