A man travels 370 km partly by train and partly by car. If he covers 250 km by train and the rest by car, it takes him 4 hours. But if he travels 130 km by train and the rest by car, it takes 18 minutes more. Find the speed of the train and that of the car.

formulate the following problem as a pair fo equations and then find their solution. A boat goes 28 km upsteam and 39 km downstream in 7 hours, In 8 hours it can go 21 km upstream and 65 downstream. Determine the speed of the stream and speed of the boart in still water.

A train travels 360 km at a uniform speed. If the speed had been 5 km/h more, if would have taken 1 hour less for the same journey. Find the speed of the train.

If a car travels 60 kmph then it reaches the destination in 4 hours. If the car. Travels at 80 kmph then the time taken by car is_________ hrs

A train takes 45 minutes to travel 51 kms. If the same train travels 221 kms, how much time is taken by it?

A train travels a distance of 480 km at a uniform speed. If the speed had been 8km/h less, then it would have taken 3 hours more to cover the same distance. We need to find the speed of the train.
