A particle moves on a circular path of radius R under the action of two constant forces `F_(1)and F_(2). F_(1)` act along positive x axis and `F_(2)` acts along positive y-axis. Find the work done by `F_(1)and F_(2)` in moving the particle from position A to position B as shown in figure.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Displacement of the particle from A to B is `vecs`
As force `F_(1)` is constant thus work done by `vecF_(1)` is constants thus work done by `vecF_(1)=F_(1)xx`(component of displacement in direc tion of `vecF_(1)`
Now, component of displacement in direction of `F_(1)` is equal to R.
Therefore work done by,
`F_(1)=F_(1)` R joules
Similarly work done by `F_(2)=F_(2)xx R` joules
