Fringe width in a particular YDSE is mea...

Fringe width in a particular YDSE is measured to be `beta` What will be the fringe width, if wavelength of the light is doubled, separation between the slits is halved and separation between the screen and slits is tripled ?

We know that , `beta=(lambdaD)/d`
Now the changed values are `lambda'=2lambda`
`d'=d/2`
D'=3D
`:.` The new fringe width will be `beta'=(lambda'D')/(d')`
`beta'=((2lambda)(3D))/((d/2))=12(lambdaD)/d=12beta`
The fringe width increases to 12 times of the original.
